Full BioMark A. Henne, CMTSE
PresidentThirty years ago, when Mark started his first job in the machine tool industry, he had no idea that his career would take him around the world and lead him to entrepreneurship. He navigates the complexities of the industry and develops strategies for building authentic relationships through lessons he absorbed from his mentor Jack Dagg. Mark’s philosophy is customer-focused: he never sells a product, instead he connects customers to solutions. This philosophy and his decades of experience laid the groundwork for his founding of Marcus Machinery in 2009. With this customer-centered approach, he has expanded his distributorship from representing one builder in Western Pennsylvania to 5 builders in a multi-state Mid-Atlantic region. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and has continued his commitment to learning and professional development by earning his CMTSE in 2001. He continually engages in sales trainings and stays up to date on manufacturing trends and applications for emerging technologies.
Mark loves golfing, cooking, baking, birdwatching, cheering on The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and savors time with his family. Married for over 40 years, he and his wife Cheri enjoy traveling and being grandparents. Mark has always been community oriented and currently serves on the board of his HOA. As his kids were growing up Mark coached both their baseball and softball teams while developing programs for local athletic associations. The neighborhood ballpark commemorates his leadership and commitment to youth sports with a plaque honoring both him and his late father.
